They are seeking a Research & Development Engineer II to provide professional engineering services across various fields, design and develop specialized instruments, and support groundbreaking research activities.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, construct, and test specialized instruments and systems for research projects
Provide engineering assistance and consultation to faculty, staff, and students
Integrate analog and digital hardware with computer software for system development
Collect and analyze data through observation and experimentation; maintain technical files and manuals
Ensure compliance with safety and efficacy requirements; supervise maintenance and troubleshoot issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related natural such as Physics or Chemistry. Due to professional exemption, equivalent experience cannot substitute for a bachelor's degree
Two years of related experience sufficient to acquire competency in the application of engineering principles
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering or related natural science
Experience designing and testing specialized instruments and systems
Proficiency in integrating analog and digital hardware with computer software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
