Process Engineer
Arlon Graphics, LLC is a global leader in graphic films specializing in cast vinyl manufacturing. The Process Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively to enhance production efficiency, lead process improvements, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Optimization of processes using time studies or data analysis
Creation and implementation of standard work
Work with area supervisor to drive productivity improvement and departmental (KPI&TTIs)
Lead corrective action teams to resolve product and process variation
Lead first pass reliability improvement teams
Complete process review reports
Use root cause analysis to resolve product quality issues
Lead Kaizen and Lean Initiatives to improve process and material flow
Implementation of methods to reduce waste
Participate on cross-functional interdepartmental improvement teams
Improve operational data collection processes
Assist in the hiring of high potential, motivated personnel
Provide effective training
Source and procure needed equipment, tools, and supplies as required
Ensure stringent compliance to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations
Champion compliance of the ISO system across the department. Develop and draft ISO procedures as required
Provide technical problem solving for day-to-day problems in the areas of production, process improvement, quality, service, scrap reduction, etc
Improve the reliability of machines and processes by working with the maintenance teams on the implementation of TPM/PM and other engineered preventative maintenance processes
Responsible for all departmental manufacturing and other operations aspects of scaling up new products that are being introduced by product development including, but not limited to process development, writing standard work or work instructions, training operators on all shifts on production techniques, establishing process parameters, etc
Make capital project requests including process investigation, equipment specification, vendor selection, writing capital requests (CER’s), coordination of work, and start-up
Responsible for conducting FE’s and ME’s on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to; creating an experimental design (DOE or other scientific methods), completion of all paperwork to assure a successful trial in accordance with ISO procedures, coordinating machine and materials, communicating expectations and instructions to machine operators, conducting the trial, completing all required testing, and reporting results
Responsible for leading focused improvement teams including creating a team mission and scope of work, providing a team project plan and executing to the plan, timely communication of progress, and other aspects of leading an improvement team as needed
Mentor interns and junior engineers to help develop their skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum one recent year of work experience
Local candidates only - must reside max. 30 miles from 92870
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Mini-Tab required
Capable of understanding and interpreting test results
Ability to generate practical solutions to complex problems
Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation, inter-personal)
Valid driver license, auto insurance and travel documents

Preferred
Six Sigma green belt or above certification
Experience with formalized problem solving, process improvement tools and methods, and statistical analysis (Lean and Six Sigma)
