Sr. Accountant
EOG Resources is a leading oil and natural gas exploration and production company. They are seeking a Regulatory Accountant who will prepare royalty and severance tax reporting, ensure compliance with government regulations, and communicate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities
Prepare royalty and severance tax reporting for EOG reporting States and ONRR
Responsible for Ohio Severance Tax and Royalty reporting
Reporting to other States as needed
Research and analyze royalty and severance tax reports and communicate data results
Audit and data compliance for the Regulatory accounting team
Filing monthly reports for EOG Resources
File corrected reports
Volume and price reconciliations and analysis
Effectively communicate with multiple disciplines as necessary to ensure accurate reporting
Apply understanding and ensuring compliance with all government regulations
Annual visits to reporting agencies with management as needed
Reconcile royalty payable accounts monthly
Testing of system enhancements and system conversion
Special projects as necessary
Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues when encountered
Assist with audits and reporting to Federal and Indian leases (ONRR) may be required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution, in Accounting or related business field, including core accounting classes relevant to the position, is required
Strong PC and analytical skills (MS Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet rigorous deadlines
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with others within and outside the organization
Preferred
CPA designation is a plus
Knowledge of SQL, AS/400 system and MS Query is a plus
