Responsibilities

Performs, analyzes, and interprets microbiological testing of finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and environmental samples according to USP (or other) requirements

Assists with the preparation of isolates for identification

Prepares microbiological media

Collects microbial samples as required

Maintains a clean, organized laboratory environment including daily logs and sample tracking

Updates spreadsheets with appropriate data

Responsible for comprehensive recording of test results

Maintains proper notebook documentation

Performs other duties as required

Required

Bachelors (B.S.) in Microbiology, Biology or Biological Sciences

Bachelors (B.S.) in a field not related to Biology with 3 years of bench work in cGMP lab

Lab Knowledge (college or work setting)

Work independently with minimal direction

Schedule flexibility - 'On Call weekends'

Must be able to complete all required documentation (includes, but is not limited to, batch records, log books, notebooks, raw data (charts, graphs, scans, etc.), validation protocols, labels and cGMP-related forms)

Detail oriented

Self-Starter, team player

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Comfortable working independently and within a team environment

Strong personal integrity
