Sr. Controls and Actuation Systems (CAS) Integration and Test Engineer

Responsibilities

You will provide various mechanical engineering support for a specialty CAS, including integration and testing of the CAS power supply. Based on skillsets, support may include but not limited to detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design and execution, and systems engineering
You will be expected to flex responsibilities based on the current needs of the organization and their respective skill sets
At this grade level, you will be expected to work autonomously with limited oversight, have advanced knowledge of the control mechanism development domain, and coach and review the work of lower level professionals

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering or 3 years related experience with an advance degree
Experience in mechanical mechanism design OR flight control systems for aerospace applications

Preferred

Experience with aerospace control systems, including development and execution of verification and characterization tests and test programs
Experience collaborating with major subtier suppliers to achieve compliant design and test deliverables, as well as hardware
Experience using structured approaches to solving issues including Fault Trees and/or fishbone diagrams
Experience with Creo modeling software and Windchill/cPDM for TDP maintenance and support including peer review process, change board process, variances, supplier requests and change notices
Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Basic proficiency with model development and data analysis in MATLAB/Simulink
Experience working with and integrating hardware
Systems engineering design and development
Experience with dSPACE Real-time test systems
Ability to estimate project / tasks level of effort
Ability to cross collaborate with geographically distributed teams
Experience and certifications in Earned Value Project Management
Ability to articulate, in both oral and written form, to technical, non-technical and management audiences
