Responsibilities
Performs digging excavations, asphalt work, culvert pipe cleaning, street sign and guardrail maintenance and repair, moving materials, mowing, tree trimming, and similar activities
Operates and maintains equipment used in the performance of essential job functions
Performs other related job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Ability to work weekends and holidays, and to respond to afterhours calls
Knowledge of maintenance and repair work
Skill in effective communication both verbally and in writing
Ability to use simple hand and power tools
Ability to use light machinery, hand tools, and power tools
Ability to traverse all types of terrain
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Ability to understand and interpret complex written and oral instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, City Staff members, and the general public
