External Reporting Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

Prepare and/or review Aon’s 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings, 8-K earnings releases, Investor Relations earnings presentations, and Irish Consolidated Accounts, including populating footnote disclosures and completing tie-out review procedures
Coordinate with Corporate teams such as Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations to aggregate and analyze disclosure information
Support quarterly balance sheet analytics, including regional calls with global colleagues
Drive innovation and process improvements
Interact with external auditors on significant transactions or key accounting issues
Assist in special projects (e.g. acquisition integration, implementation of new FASB standards or SEC regulations, other corporate initiatives, etc.)
Perform technical disclosure research and complete the quarterly disclosure checklist

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2+ years' experience in accounting
Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to listen, consider alternative views, and solve complex problems
Strong project management skills, written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities
Ability to identify process improvements opportunities
Ability to work, take ownership, and succeed in a rapidly changing environment

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA
Public accounting and audit experience
Experience and willingness to drive strategic accounting initiatives across a global organization
Strong knowledge of automated accounting and reporting systems, including experience with WorkDay and Wdesk
