Responsibilities

Leading supplier assessments and audits to evaluate their manufacturing processes, quality systems, and capabilities
Working closely with suppliers to address quality issues, processing non-conformances and deviation requests
Driving corrective and preventive actions and implementing robust development plans to enhance supplier performance
Managing all aspects of the Production part approval process
Developing receiving inspection plans

Qualification

Supplier Quality EngineeringISO 9001IATF 16949Core quality toolsAdvanced product quality planningProduction part approval processProblem-solving methodsCertified quality engineerSix Sigma green belt

Required

5+ years of experience in a supplier or quality engineering role
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quality or industrial engineering
Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality management systems

Preferred

Strong proficiency with problem-solving methods such as 8D, Fishbone diagram, 5 Whys etc
Proven competency in core quality tools such as Control plans, FMEA, Capability studies, Gage R&R, Gage correlation etc
Working knowledge of Advanced product quality planning and Production part approval process
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Certified quality engineer or Six Sigma green belt
