Responsibilities

Overseeing all maintenance activities for the facility
Day to day cleaning, and deep cleaning of all areas of the facility
Repairs, preventive maintenance and in-house projects for facility equipment and structures including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance work as required
Plan and schedule maintenance work including ordering materials
Maintain the spare parts inventory
Coordinate with other departments and manage contract personnel when utilized
Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
Interviewing, maintaining documentation and taking disciplinary action if appropriate
Conducting employee performance evaluations
Manage all documentation for personnel, equipment, and work orders
Help manage department expenses and assist in the annual preparation of the department budget
Perform all other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 5 years experience in a buildings / industrial maintenance department or similar is required
Minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor or lead craftsman with a buildings or industrial maintenance department or similar is required
Knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, safety requirements and applicable regulations (OSHA, NEC, construction codes, etc.) is required
Candidate must have a proven ability to work and communicate well with others
Candidate must have proven organization and recordkeeping skills
Candidate must be able to work all shifts and weekends in order to properly communicate with personnel and understand all issues
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC's are required
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission
Candidate must be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Employee will be required to sit, stoop, bend, climb, reach and stand for extended periods of time
Employee must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to complete daily tasks
Employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and more than 50lbs with assistance
Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication
This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Preferred

Associates degree or Technical School Diploma (electrical, construction, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
