This position plays a critical role in managing the firm’s day-to-day financial operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor management and client invoicing
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare financial statements and reports for review by the firm owner
Manage payroll and related tax filings in coordination with payroll provider
Monitor trust account activity to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
Track and allocate expenses to appropriate matters or clients
Support budgeting and financial planning processes
Coordinate with the firm’s CPA or external accountant as needed
Maintain financial records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Preferred
2+ years of experience as a bookkeeper or similar role
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Bookkeeping or accounting certification
