CAMPAIGN PLANS CHIEF
USAJOBS is seeking a Campaign Plans Chief to serve in the Director, Maritime Operations, Campaign Plans of the Commander US Pacific Fleet. Responsibilities
You will lead a team of campaign planners responsible for synchronizing U.S. Pacific Fleet contributions to the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) ensuring alignment with national strategies
You will synchronize efforts with joint, interagency, and multinational partners to maintain a persistent forward-deployed posture, strengthen alliances and partnerships, and deter aggression in the Indo-Pacific region
You will oversees operational-level campaign planning, posture development, functional plan integration, and multinational security cooperation throughout the Indo-Pacific
You will be responsible for planning and executing four-star level tasks with minimal to no oversight
You will provide strategic and operational guidance on emerging fleet initiatives and priority projects
You will oversee integration of special projects supporting maritime security, theater posture, and regional stability
You will coordinate with partner nations to identify priority projects, synchronize resources, and measure effectiveness against strategic objectives
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA)
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing strategic campaign plans to achieve higher headquarters/executive leadership's objectives and goals through the implementation and deployment of military-sponsored programs and initiatives to build a greater cooperative and collaborative security environment
Benefits
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
Relocation expenses reimbursed: Yes—Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations.
Telework eligible: Yes—This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
