Responsibilities
Oversee accounting operations and lead the execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closeout processes within the WCF
Ensure compliance with federal accounting standards (e.g., SFFAS) and DoD financial policies
Lead the preparation and validation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and internal control documentation
Provide detailed analysis of accounting transactions, adjustments, and variances
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial deliverables
Support audit readiness, remediation planning, and responses to inquiries from external oversight bodies (e.g., DCAA, DFAS)
Interface with key systems including ADVANA, QDD, and standard DoD accounting platforms
Coordinate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership to ensure alignment of accounting outputs with mission requirements
Prepare and deliver briefings, technical memoranda, and presentations related to accounting performance and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (any field)
10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment, OR
5 years of WCF experience PLUS one of these credentials:
Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM)
Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Preferred
Experience in accounting operations management
DISA FAMIS experience
Security Clearance: Secret or higher
