Responsibilities
Implement Engaging Preschool Lesson Plans: Create dynamic, age-appropriate activities aligned with early learning standards—supporting kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, science, social-emotional learning, and purposeful play. Our Curriculum is SO much fun!
Foster a Safe, Positive Classroom Environment: Maintain an organized, joyful, and supportive classroom that promotes preschoolers’ independence, creativity, and confidence while following all childcare licensing regulations
Support Children’s Growth & School Readiness: Observe, assess, and document developmental progress in areas such as problem-solving, communication, fine/gross motor skills, collaboration, and early academic skills
Build Strong Family Partnerships: Share daily updates, photos, learning highlights, and progress reports using our communication tools and mobile app to keep families connected and engaged
Collaborate with Teaching Staff: Lead and mentor assistant teachers to ensure a consistent, warm, and enriching preschool learning experience; contribute to team planning and center-wide initiatives
Promote Social–Emotional Development: Guide preschoolers through routines, transitions, conflict resolution, and self-regulation using positive guidance techniques
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as a Preschool Lead Teacher or similar role in a licensed childcare, daycare, or early childhood education center
High School Diploma/GED required
Strong understanding of preschool development, early learning standards, play-based instruction, and kindergarten readiness
Knowledge of state and local childcare licensing requirements, preschool safety standards, and appropriate classroom ratios
Demonstrated skills in classroom leadership, communication, and positive behavior guidance
Preferred
Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field
