Responsibilities

Lead and execute the full-cycle monthly and quarterly close process for ceded reinsurance, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements under multiple accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, IFRS 17/LDTI)

Uphold rigorous internal controls (ICFR/SOX) and serve as the primary finance liaison for internal and external audits and regulatory filings

Oversee the management of reinsurance recoverables, settlements, and cash application to minimize aging and credit risk (including CECL/IFRS 9 analysis)

Produce high-quality performance analytics (MI/KRI) to partner with Actuarial and Underwriting teams, informing decisions on treaty economics and capital efficiency

Drive systems enhancements and process automation (e.g., SQL, RPA, Power BI) to improve data governance and reduce cycle time and risk

Required

5+ years of progressive experience in an insurance or reinsurance finance role, with deep expertise in ceded reinsurance accounting across multiple product lines (Life, Health, P&C)

Strong working knowledge of global accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS/IFRS 17, Statutory) and internal control frameworks (ICFR/SOX)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required

Must be fluent in English
