The Florida Gaming Control Commission is responsible for regulating legal gaming in the state. They are seeking a highly motivated attorney to serve as Special Counsel and Informal Hearing Officer, providing legal counsel and overseeing compliance with Florida's gambling laws.

Responsibilities

Providing legal counsel to the Office of the Commissioners regarding the Sunshine Law, including public meeting requirements and public records requests
Drafting rules and advising the Commission on the rulemaking process
Serving as an informal hearing officer in regulatory cases brought by the Office of the General Counsel on behalf of the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering

Admission to the Florida Bar
Two (2) years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law or in administrative or judicial hearings
A valid driver's license
