They are seeking a motivated Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) Intern to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Participate in and support kaizen workshops focused on process improvement and one-piece flow lines
Read and interpret basic blueprints to support design and manufacturing initiatives
Assist with basic design and fabrication tasks
Provide creative and innovative hands-on solutions to enhance manufacturing processes
Collaborate effectively within a team environment to drive continuous improvement
Utilize Kaizen tools to support manufacturing processes and flow lines
Provide quick hands-on solutions to improve operator efficiency and ease of work
Assist in developing, modifying, and building machinery or devices that ensure operator and part safety, adhering to Pursuit’s Universal No’s
Support and participate in various roles across the company as needed
Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate in or support kaizen workshops
Support Tier 1 & 2 process abnormalities as needed
Provide coverage for the Site Senior KPO Technician when necessary

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Administration, Marketing or a related technical field
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred

Knowledge or experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with aerospace component manufacturing, including fabrications, machining, laser technology, welding, coatings, and heat treatment
Basic design and fabrication skills
Manufacturing Experience Preferred
Understanding of mechanical components and basic machine design
Basic blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and adaptability
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Creative thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving
