Technical Subject Matter Expert

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is an employee-owned international research and engineering company seeking a Technical Subject Matter Expert to support their Adversarial Assessment Contract. The role involves advising and training the Ground Team on technical collection equipment and adversarial tactics while maintaining and designing necessary technology for operations.

Responsibilities

Maintain a current understanding of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures
Maintain Ground Team technical collection and surveillance inventory
Design, test, and maintain the technical collection and entrance inventory
Train the Ground Team to implement technical collection and/or BMOE equipment in an operational environment
Design, test, and maintain concealment devices
Advise the Ground Team in the proper implementation and handling of technical collection equipment
Integrate with the Ground Team during pre-mission training (PMT) and during operations to support equipment and the overall effort
Produce and maintain accountability of fabricated documentation and credentials in support of Ground Team assessments

Required

Active TS/SCI clearance
13 – 15 years of relevant experience in Technical Surveillance, Technical Surveillance in an operational environment, and Electrical Engineering in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience designing and employing surreptitious audio/video collection devices
Demonstrated experience exploiting radio frequency (RF) for operational advantage (3G, 4G, GSM, RFID, PTT, WiFi, Bluetooth)
Proficient in Tag, Track, Locate (TTL)
Experience constructing and employing concealment devices
Experience employing surreptitious entry techniques
Experience designing, manufacturing, and piloting UAS
Sensitive site exploitation

Preferred

Prior service with 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) preferred; equivalent Special Operations experience will be considered
Advanced Special Operations Techniques – Level III (or equivalent)
Advanced Technical Surveillance Course (or equivalent)
Successful completion of the Technical Surveillance Counter Measure course
Possesses a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Bypass Methods of Entry (BMOE)
Alarm Bypass
Experience with audio-visual security system design and bypass
Counterintelligence collection/analysis
Experience fabricating documentation and/or credentials in support of operations
Experience in audio/visual security system design and/or compromise
