They are seeking a motivated Drilling Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience with drilling projects related to their Bakken assets in Dallas. The intern will assist with various responsibilities, including report preparation, field visits, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Help in preparing detailed reports on drilling activities, including daily progress, equipment performance, and any encountered issues

Participate in field visits to drilling sites to gain hands-on experience and understand the practical aspects of drilling operations

Learn and utilize industry-specific software for modeling and simulation of drilling operations

Work closely with other engineers and team members to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations

Participate in the development of short- and long-term objectives and capital and expense budgets ensuring compatibility with and support of overall company goals and objectives

Engineer, design, and technically support operational execution of new well drilling projects. In consultation with completion engineers, design and construct safe and efficient wells for completions, workovers, and stimulations

Assist in gathering and analyzing data from drilling operations to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement

Required

Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum engineering

Minimum of 3.0 grade point average required

Preferred

Previous internship experience preferred

Strong presentation and communication skills

Ability to interact effectively with both technical staff and field personnel

Involvement in extracurricular activities is a plus
