North Carolina State University is hiring a part-time project manager to support an NSF-funded Masters degree program in Biochemistry and related fields. The role involves recruiting students, monitoring their progress, organizing onboarding programs, and maintaining program communications.

Responsibilities

Recruit students throughout North Carolina and vicinity to the program. This will include, but not limited to, attending scientific meetings, visiting colleges and universities, and reaching out to various student organizations

Monitor the progress of students during the two years of their Masters program

Assist with organizing and teaching a two week on-boarding program to begin two weeks before fall classes start in August

Maintain the program website and develop online media to advertise the program

Other activities include facilitating student interactions through informal meetings, and organizing a seminar series for incoming first-year students

Required

Master's degree or Bachelors Degree in biological science (Chemistry, Physics or related field), with a minimum of 2 years of student recruitment or graduate admissions experience

Ability to work a flexible work schedule based on program requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organized

Valid driver's license
