Responsibilities
Develop advanced detection rules, custom alerts, and attack-surface reduction strategies across Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel
Conduct proactive threat-hunting activities using log analytics, behavioral analysis, and threat intelligence to identify malicious activity
Operate and optimize enterprise security tools including endpoint protection, SIEM, intrusion prevention, and vulnerability management platforms
Automate detection, response, and remediation workflows using scripting and orchestration to improve operational efficiency
Serve as a technical lead during major security incidents, providing investigation oversight, root-cause analysis, and executive-level reporting
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering with strong expertise in Microsoft Defender, vulnerability management, and SIEM platforms
3+ years of threat-hunting experience including detection creation, log analysis, and behavioral analytics using tools such as Sentinel or Splunk
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, authentication protocols, secure coding principles, and cloud/hybrid infrastructure security
Experience building automated security workflows or detections using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and present technical insights to executives
