Responsibilities
Oversee a team of 11-15 electrical engineers and designers, located in Shoreview and other Westinghouse sites
Manage Performance Feedback Plans (PFPs) and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support career development and engagement
Encourage skill development, technical leadership, and engineering licensing (FE, PE)
Support promotions within the team
Lead hiring and onboarding for new team members
Deliver training programs for technical and process improvement
Collaboration with other department (both engineering and manufacturing) leadership and technical leads
Be the Design Review Chair for electrical design deliverables
Provide technical guidance on electrical systems design, including power distribution, control systems, and integration with industrial I&C
Manage project resourcing and ensure understanding of schedule commitments
Support schedule conflict escalations from Project Managers and ensure delivery of engineering outputs
Be a change management champion, introducing modern tools, workflows, and best practices
Foster collaboration between engineering disciplines and manufacturing teams
Ensure adherence to nuclear quality standards and safety requirements
Limited North American travel required for collaboration with team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Electrical design background
Team leadership experience
Experience with electrical design principles and tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar)
Lead change and foster collaboration
Preferred
Professional Engineer license
Nuclear industry experience
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
