Responsibilities
Lead the financial planning cycles (annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks) for the Product team, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic objectives
Drive continuous analysis of product profitability, establishing and maintaining a standardized, defensible allocation methodology for both direct and indirect costs
Perform robust financial evaluation of new product initiatives and business cases (New Business Reviews), assessing investment impact, risk, and return on capital (ROI/ROIC) to inform go/no-go decisions
Evaluate and manage the financial implications of significant Capital Expenditure (CapEx) investments, ensuring alignment with long-term revenue growth projections and affordability thresholds
Conduct insightful analysis, reporting, and provide recommendations to executive leadership on the financial structure and implications of critical data and strategic third-party partnerships
Serve as the primary financial liaison, partnering with product owners to structure scalable cost models, analyze investment trade-offs, and ensure optimal resource deployment within the operational budget (OpEx)
Present comprehensive financial performance packages to Senior Management and Executive teams, clearly articulating key performance drivers, identifying financial risks, and highlighting strategic opportunities
Oversee the monthly financial close process, including detailed variance analysis against plan/forecast, trending analysis, and providing strategic support to the Accounting function on accruals and required journal entries
Champion continuous process improvement and best practices within the FP&A function, focusing on increasing efficiency, accuracy, and automation through leveraging financial systems and technology
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field required
Minimum of 7 years of progressive FP&A experience, with significant time spent directly supporting Product Development, R&D, or Technology organizations
Demonstrated expertise in complex financial modeling and developing robust investment ROI/NPV analyses
Deep practical knowledge of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and associated cost management
Proven ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into actionable insights and executive-level presentations
Exceptional collaboration, influencing, and communication skills, with proven success presenting to and challenging Senior Management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with major ERP (e.g., SAP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems (e.g., Hyperion HFM, Planning, or SAP Analytics Cloud/SAC) is required
Preferred
Prior experience in the Media, Ad-Tech, or Audience Measurement industry preferred
MBA or CFA certification is a plus
