Responsibilities

Reviewing end-to-end spatial analyses across platforms such as Visium, Xenium, CosMx, MERFISH, and Slide-seq–like assays
Applying assay-appropriate QC and numerical sanity checks
Identifying spatial artifacts, failure modes, and misleading patterns
Explaining •why• certain biological interpretations are valid — or why they fall apart
Translating that expert reasoning into clear, structured training material for frontier AI models

Qualification

Required

Hands-on analysis of one or more spatial transcriptomics platforms (e.g., Visium, Xenium, CosMx, MERFISH, GeoMx, Stereo-seq, Slide-seq / Seeker-like assays)
Multiple completed spatial datasets taken from raw data to biological conclusions used in publications or real decisions
Practical intuition for kit- and assay-specific QC thresholds
Familiarity with core spatial analysis tasks (segmentation, cell typing, neighborhood or ligand–receptor analysis)
Comfort interpreting spatial-omics papers and reasoning about experimental design
Working knowledge of statistical inference and high-dimensional methods (PCA, UMAP, neighborhood graphs)
Depth of judgment matters more than the number of tools listed
