Digital Marketing & Automation Lead
Reach University is an accredited, nonprofit institution reshaping higher education. They are seeking a Digital Marketing & Automation Lead who will own digital campaigns and optimize systems to drive measurable engagement, conversion, and retention across key audiences and channels.
Responsibilities
Plan, launch, and optimize multi-channel campaigns across web, email, paid/organic social, search, and other current and future channels — supporting brand visibility and key audience consideration, conversion, and growth
Translate narratives into high-performing digital campaigns by collaborating closely with content, design, and program teams to ensure tactics align with campaign goals and audience needs
Develop creative briefs, timelines, and testing plans informed by market research, and manage landing pages, tracking setups, and post-click funnel analysis for paid and organic channels
Evaluate and test new tools and channels (e.g., retargeting, marketing integrations, automation enhancements) to improve reach, conversion, and engagement across B2C and B2B audiences
Own end-to-end lifecycle journeys across digital touchpoints — designing nurture paths from awareness to growth and retention
Build and optimize automated workflows for email and social campaigns, including testing and experimentation to enhance engagement
Develop and maintain a clear list contact strategy: cadences, content themes, and rules that prevent over-communication and list fatigue
Ensure CRM (currently HubSpot) data accuracy and list quality by improving cross-system data flows, documenting segmentation processes for self-service, and monitoring deliverability and list health
Lead digital strategy for Reach.edu, NCAD.org, and related faculty sites with a clear focus on clarity, conversion, and user experience
Coordinate key UX/UI improvements, landing page builds, and performance enhancements in partnership with web developers, designers, and faculty-wide priorities
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices across metadata, on-page content, internal linking, and site structure
Run A/B tests on CTAs, forms, page layouts, and messaging to boost conversion rates
Define key funnel metrics across channels and campaigns; ensure consistent tracking and attribution via HubSpot, Google Analytics, and/or internal tools
Build dashboards and regular reports that show what’s working — and what needs to change
Design, run, and interpret A/B tests (subject lines, send time, creative, landing page layouts, form fields) and translate findings into clear recommendations
Partner with Data/IR to align marketing metrics with broader key audience metrics so that campaign performance ties back to university goals
Manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously with clear communication and timelines, from brief to launch to retrospective, while keeping stakeholders informed
Work in seamless collaboration with your team and cross-functional stakeholders, spanning from growth to advancement, admissions, employer success, academics, partnerships, NCAD teams
Document processes and playbooks for recurring campaigns so they can be refined and scaled
Support the team as needed, such as stepping in to assist with video and audiogram creation, editing, and placement as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years in digital, automation, and/or performance marketing
Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or similar automation platform) required
Strong command of email automation, CRM segmentation, and lifecycle strategy
Proficiency in analytics tools (HubSpot, social, etc…)
Working knowledge of SEO, UX/UI principles, and website optimization
Strong quantitative skills with ability to interpret data and propose tests
Basic HTML/CSS comfort for email and landing page editing
Clear written communication and documentation skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects with prioritization and follow-through
Excellent written communication skills for clear, concise email copy and effective internal documentation
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize across multiple stakeholders and timelines
Demonstrated capacity to manage competing stakeholder needs, operate effectively in ambiguity, and prioritize momentum over perfection
A passion for higher education and the mission of Reach University
Preferred
Experience in an entrepreneurial (think early-stage startup!) higher education, workforce, and/or mission-driven organizations is a major plus
