They are seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to operate the WWTP in compliance with environmental requirements, perform daily rounds, assist with equipment repairs, and maintain the quality of treated wastewater.
Environmental Consulting
Responsibilities
Operating the WWTP in compliance with applicable local, state, and Federal environmental requirements
Performing daily rounds
Assisting with equipment repairs
Troubleshooting and correcting operational problems
Grounds keeping
Pressure washing
Light painting
Sweeping
Cleaning
Shoveling
Qualification
Required
Georgia (or equivalent) Grade III or higher or Industrial wastewater operator's license
High School graduate or equivalent required
Knowledge of computer applications, and ability to use & learn various software programs [Hach WIMS, SEMS CMMS, and Utility Cloud]
Applicant must possess a valid driver's License and maintain a good driving record
Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment
Preferred
1-3 years' experience in the operation of a wastewater treatment facility preferred
