Responsibilities

Lead and perform all floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and finishing across the DMU campus and facilities

Oversee waste removal processes and ensure materials are transported to proper disposal areas

Maintain and review accurate floor care logs, checklists, and documentation, ensuring compliance with UG2 standards

Monitor inventory levels of equipment and supplies, coordinate ordering needs, and ensure proper stock rotation

Train, mentor, and support new and existing staff in proper floor care techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage

Operate and oversee the use of walk-behind scrubbers, walk-behind extractors, swing buffers, and other floor care equipment

Perform and guide staff in steam cleaning upholstery and other related tasks

Ensure proper procedures are followed for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors, fixtures, and staff safety

Identify, report, and escalate any damages, maintenance needs, or safety concerns

Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure team compliance with established protocols

Ensure proper use of PPE in accordance with job tasks and safety requirements
