This role involves managing a variety of projects locally and globally, providing technical expertise, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with firm leadership to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Design lead for the electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems, including preparation of all engineering calculations, equipment selection, and layout throughout life of the project

Write scope of work for electrical design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client

Prepare drawings and perform system design calculations and reports

Select equipment for use in building systems

Analyze operation of existing systems

Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems

Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within company and externally with clients and other design professionals

Serve as Project Manager and Technical Lead

Prepare or review construction budgets based on experience and scope of project

Supervise staff on multiple projects, provide assertive management, technical leadership and support to team members, verify that all work is completed as planned and scheduled in compliance with client, and company quality assurance practices

Mentor younger staff

Required

Bachelor's degree from accredited university in electrical engineering or equivalent

Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry design experience with direct project experience inclusive of spaces such as data centers and / or life science facilities

Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, design, and calculation software

Strong electrical technical knowledge including ability to articulate technical solutions to all audiences

Ability to effectively interface with clients. Excellent communication skills

Ability to work successfully on several concurrent projects

Expert knowledge of design and building codes

Thorough understanding of construction process
