Senior/Staff Infrastructure Engineer - Aspect Build
Aspect Build is the Bazel company, providing a leading developer productivity platform for large scale, multi-language repositories. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, deploy, and operate multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring the platform's performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain Aspect Workflows cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises (e.g., Kubernetes clusters or OpenStack)
Support self-hosted and customer-managed deployments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes
Monitor system performance, availability, and cost efficiency across multiple cloud and on-prem environments
Partner with the DevSecOps team to ensure compliance, observability, and infrastructure security (SOC 2, RBAC, secrets management)
Build automation and tooling to streamline provisioning, scaling, and disaster recovery workflows
Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize remote execution and caching systems for scalability and latency
Participate in on-call rotation for production reliability and incident response
Document infrastructure architecture and operational best practices for internal teams and customer deployments
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure (multi-cloud experience strongly preferred)
Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform (or equivalent IaC tools)
Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and incident response
Familiarity with distributed systems, remote execution, or developer tooling environments
Scripting and automation skills in Rust, Go, Python, or Bash
Preferred
Experience supporting self-hosted or hybrid enterprise software deployments
Knowledge of Bazel, build systems, or developer productivity infrastructure
Exposure to cloud cost optimization and capacity planning
Contributions to open-source infrastructure or DevOps tooling
