They are seeking an IT Security Operations Intern to participate in security assessments and threat modeling, providing a hands-on opportunity to learn and apply problem-solving skills in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

Assess security operations to identify opportunities in need of transformation (gap analysis gap elimination)

Administers Cyber Security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems

Performs tests to ensure compliance with Cyber Security policies and procedures

Assist in the creation of process documentation training materials and security compliance reports

Work with Compliance Internal Audit and Managed Security Service Providers to identify and address areas in need of improvement

Participate in IT Security projects, which could include system upgrades, data analysis, process changes or system rollouts

Maintain project schedules, deliverables, collect meeting notes, and provide feedback on project deliverables

Required

Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university required

Degree focused in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Finance, Economics or Organizational Leadership required

Relevant previous internship experience or the completion of a project that demonstrates aptitude for program management or process improvement required

Have a foundational understanding of IT principles, cyber security concepts and a strong willingness to learn

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to explain technical issues to non-technical users

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and an attention to detail

Ability to work independently and with a team

Eagerness to learn, self-directed, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
