Responsibilities

Assuring laboratory safety and compliance with all policies and regulations

Maintaining a functional, orderly lab, assuring that the lab is timely supplied with all reagents and supplies necessary for conducting planned experiments, preparing laboratory reagents

Maintaining research animals colony, breeding animals according to an experimental plan and performing basic procedure on research animals; genotyping

Assisting with experimental animals' tissue collection, for histological and molecular analyses

Basic histological tissue processing (including paraffin and OCT embedding, sectioning), and staining according to standard protocols

Assisting with basic cell culture work, molecular and biochemical assays

Required

Bachelor's Degree

3 years of experience

Experience in molecular biology laboratory or histology or handling and breeding research animals

Assuring laboratory safety and compliance with all policies and regulations

Maintaining a functional, orderly lab, assuring that the lab is timely supplied with all reagents and supplies necessary for conducting planned experiments, preparing laboratory reagents

Maintaining research animals colony, breeding animals according to an experimental plan and performing basic procedure on research animals; genotyping

Assisting with experimental animals' tissue collection, for histological and molecular analyses

Basic histological tissue processing (including paraffin and OCT embedding, sectioning), and staining according to standard protocols

Moderate physical effort required

May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time

May be required to move objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance of equipment

Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement
