Manufacturing Process Engineer

Responsibilities

Develops, designs, and implements manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This includes the design of production lines, including the layout of machines and workstations
Analyzes existing processes to identify areas for improvement, implements changes to optimize performance, and ensures adherence to quality standards
Research and implement ways to improve processes, such as making them more cost-effective and efficient
Monitor equipment and identify opportunities for improvement
Use computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) software to build models and design systems and products
Identifies and resolves production issues, conducts root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Creates and maintains detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for operators
Drives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
Works closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations
Manages manufacturing process improvement projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electronics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in manufacturing operations
Strong teamwork skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications or similar workflow tools
Positive attitude and keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with engineering teams and manufacturing operation personnel
Ability to stand for extended periods
Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for operating equipment and performing assembly tasks
Visual acuity for conducting quality inspections on small components
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial elements, while adhering to all safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and workplace safety regulations

Preferred

Experience in CAD software (Solidworks) a plus
