Responsibilities
Monitor and follow up on outstanding client premium balances to ensure timely collection
Accurately apply incoming payments to client accounts in accordance with remittance detail
Prepare and document for disbursements of return premiums to clients or premium financing companies, in collaboration with account teams
Reconcile client accounts regularly and resolve discrepancies or disputes in collaboration with internal teams and clients
Maintain detailed documentation of receivables activity and correspondence
Generate and review aging reports to support visibility and action planning on delinquent items
Partner with service teams and accounting to align on receivables strategy and execution
Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to receivables and cash application processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high volume and time sensitive transactions
Ability to work independently and on a team
High degree of professional communication and tactful negotiation skills
Preferred
Prior experience in accounts receivable or insurance premium accounting strongly preferred
Knowledge of Applied Epic a plus
