Mechanical Engineer - Entry-Level

Responsibilities

Interface with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Electrical and Controls Engineers, and with Service Engineers and Technicians to assist with the execution of awarded projects
Assist Project Engineer in developing Bills of Material for all mechanical equipment
Develop and maintain all engineering information for standard product and assist in the development of new products
Create fluid flow models on AFT Fathom according to the Piping and Instrument Diagrams and pipe layout drawings
Edit P&IDs on AutoCAD using basic functions (copy, paste, move, rotate, text edit, layers)
Must be familiar with basic drawing redline processes
Review vendor documentation for project scope, and render either acceptance or rejection analysis of documentation
Communicate with vendors and actively solve on any issue that may come up with their product
Assist in compilation of the final sets of IOM manuals
Any other responsibility as assigned by TAS

Required

Proficient at excel and other computer skills
Cad skills a plus
Experience with analysis of compliance with NEC, NFPA, ASME, ANSI and other relevant codes
Must have a “can do” attitude
Must be able to juggle multiple needs from customers (internal & external)
Must be proficient in technical writing and comprehensive documentation
Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing and comprehensive documentation

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited four-year engineering program is preferred, although direct industry experience can substitute
PE/EIT registration is desirable
