Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and related fields

Supervising teaching faculty

Mentoring researchers in their field

Performing service to the college, university, and discipline

Overseeing the operational and academic functions of Khoury programs on the campus, including faculty mentoring, budgeting, and collaboration with staff that provide academic advising, co-curricular programming, and career services support as well as the faculty and staff of other colleges in support of regional programs and goals

Working closely with dean-level college leadership and directors of other Northeastern University regional campuses to ensure equitable delivery of high-quality programming in Oakland

Serving as an essential liaison between the regional campus leadership and the College

Working closely with the campus, the College, and College faculty and staff at the campus to strategize and lead the vision for the College’s presence in Oakland

Required

Candidates must hold a Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution by the employment start date

At least three years of relevant experience is required for appointment at the Associate level

At least six years of relevant experience is required for appointment at the Full Professor level

Research statement (optional): Please summarize your research, including a short description of your research focus, any notable successes, including successful grant-seeking activities, and any work you have undertaken with students, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, please identify any research priorities you will have as a Khoury College faculty member in Oakland
