Responsibilities

Perform laboratory experiments utilizing standard techniques and equipment, including cell authentication, NanoString, Seahorse Analyzer, PhenoCycler-fusion system, et al

Provide histology services

Develop, optimize, and standardize experimental protocols for studying cancer cells including 2D cell culture, spheroids, and organoids

Coordinate receiving samples and providing results and data to partners

Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and research findings

Perform laboratory maintenance including cleaning and maintaining equipment and ordering supplies

Train and instruct staff and students in basic laboratory techniques

Qualification

Required

Master's degree in Biological Sciences or closely related field

At least two years of research laboratory experience with cell biological and molecular biological techniques

Familiar with basic cell biology lab equipment and biosafety requirements

Excellent organizational skills including time management, strong focus, and attention to detail

Knowledge of BSL2 biosafety requirements and other safety requirements

Ability to learn new techniques and develop protocols

Ability to learn office and university-specific software

Preferred

PhD in Biological Sciences or closely related field

Experience with histology techniques and processes
