IT Infrastructure Supervisor - Information Technology
Fort Bend County is ranked as one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. The IT Infrastructure Supervisor will plan and manage infrastructure teams, ensuring service levels are met while coordinating with vendors and recommending new technology solutions.

Responsibilities
Plans, manages, and provides work direction for infrastructure, voice, and audio-visual teams. Ensuring customer service levels are adhered to and SLAs for response times are maintained
Coordinates work performed by outside vendors and monitors vendor service levels that are utilized in support of special events such as emergency response, elections support and network deployments
Participation and recommendation of new technology solutions for items such as Network Management, Infrastructure design, Remote connectivity support, and Justice Center Support
Research and recommend technology in support of long-range infrastructure design and implementation planning
Recommends and implements infrastructure policies and other technology standards to ensure adherence of approved disaster recovery procedures
On call 24/7 for IT support issues
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 7 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree
7 years of work-related experience; including 5 years of management/supervisory experience
Advanced knowledge in Cisco technology, protocols and security systems in a converged network environment which encompasses local, wide area, wireless and VoIP applications
Strong multi-platform system technical skills; strong analytical and system design skills
Strong background in technical support and operations management; exceptional supervisory and organizational skills
Verbal and written communications skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, vendors, other employees, and elected officials
Preferred
Advanced Technical Certifications preferred
