MHA Intern Opportunities with UW Medicine
The University of Washington is actively recruiting for MHA Administrative Interns for Summer 2026 Internship opportunities. This 10-week program provides first-year students in the Master's in Health Administration program with hands-on experience in various areas of healthcare leadership, including hospital administration and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with preceptor and sponsor to establish mutually agreed upon goals that build skills and apply classroom learning
Assist with project management, including tracking milestones, timelines, and deliverables
Contribute to departmental initiatives by owning specific tasks or components of projects
Collaborative with other departments, teams and/or interns on a joint project
Attend meetings, training sessions and development workshops; build communication and presentation skills and gain exposure to various healthcare operations
Conduct financial, operational, quality, and project-specific data analysis to monitor KPIs, evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and present actionable recommendations to leadership
Participate in organizational change management efforts related to new systems, applications, processes or updates
Document and improve workflows, develop process flow maps, and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and regulatory compliance
Research and present best practices on varying topics
Other duties which will contribute to the success of the internship as they arise
Qualification
Required
Skills, knowledge, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of the first of the UW Master of Health Administration program
Candidates must be enrolled in the above stated program
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
