Responsibilities

Build APIs and services handling thousands of concurrent requests
Architect ingestion → assessment → delivery pipelines for cases
Implement Temporal workflows for long-running, stateful processes
Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for compliance workflows
Own CI/CD, deployments, and infrastructure-as-code, Drive observability: logging, tracing, metrics
Debug slow queries, memory leaks, race conditions

Required

4+ yrs (Engineer) / 6+ yrs (Sr. Engineer) / 8+ yrs (Staff Engineer) backend or infra experience
Strong systems fundamentals: distributed systems, databases, APIs, concurrency
Proven production experience: debugging live systems, incident response, on-call
PostgreSQL expertise: query optimization, indexing, schema design, migrations
Ownership mindset: you close the loop, write postmortems, prevent recurrence
Languages: TypeScript/Node.js (primary), SQL (advanced)
Databases: PostgreSQL/Supabase, RLS, query planning
Cloud/Infra: AWS/GCP/Azure (we use Render.com on AWS), Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
Monitoring: Datadog (or Grafana/Prometheus/New Relic/Sentry)

Preferred

Python (nice to have)
Temporal (preferred) or Airflow/Prefect/Cadence
Fintech/RegTech experience (security, audit logging)
AI/LLM infra (prompt orchestration, token limits, cost mgmt)
High-throughput systems; chaos/resilience testing
VPC architecture and cloud networking (security groups, private endpoints, compliance requirements)
