Technical Support Engineer
Tuskegee University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering and instructional support in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The role involves maintaining smooth operations for teaching, research, and laboratory activities, alongside providing technical support for various IT systems.

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support for laboratory equipment, departmental computers, workstations, servers, and classroom technologies
Assist faculty teaching in Cybersecurity, Al/ML labs and Certification activities
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and engineering/scientific software
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in any of the following: IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or other related fields
Experience in troubleshooting, system administration, and technical support
Experience with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls)
Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices
Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Strong customer-service orientation
Ability to operate standard office and lab equipment
Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 40 lbs)
Preferred
Familiarity with engineering lab environments and instrumentation
Relevant certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)
