Responsibilities
Provide engineering and operational leadership to the teams in close partnership with teams across CDSS
Drive a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on execution, disruption, quality, and speed
Hands-on technical leader who can guide the team through tough architectural decisions and communicate effectively with customers
Be a strong partner with product management, customer success and other engineering teams
Ability to hire and retain a world-class and diverse engineering, infrastructure, SRE and security research team
Work closely with the product management organization to influence, develop and deliver on roadmaps
Recognize process gaps early and able to motivate change to achieve better outcomes
Foster innovation in the organization
Qualification
Required
15+ years of Engineering experience with BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
10+ years of hands-on technical experience combined with strong management and communication skills
Extensive experience on architecture design of large scale data platforms, machine learning, analytics, and data-drive applications
Experience in building and managing strong technical teams
Proven experience attracting, retaining, and growing top engineering talent across geographically distributed teams
Ability to nurture and support a strong operations culture - customer/service focus excellent technology - high quality implementations - self-motivated innovation and problem-solving
Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality and ability to execute
Has experience building security products and is well versed with the security landscape
Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics-based process improvement
Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with those outside of your immediate organization
