Responsibilities
Develop and optimize controllers for the entire robot system
Implement complex algorithms for teleoperation and manipulation tasks (e.g., wiping a table)
Design control modes (stiff, precise, flexible in different directions)
Work on real-world hardware with tight timing and sensing constraints
Qualification
Required
Experience working on real hardware controls - not just simulation (Precision systems, high-performance actuators, or dynamic robots)
Fluent in model predictive control, nonlinear optimization, and sensor fusion approaches
Proficient in writing reliable, maintainable software that others can depend on
Comfortable working primarily in C++, with Python as a prototyping tool
Prefer minimal middleware and are happy working outside ROS
Preferred
Experience with humanoid or mobile manipulation robots
Familiarity with Pinocchio and Crocoddyl
Solid foundation in optimization for control systems
