Responsibilities

Extract and synthesize key technical findings related to new spectrum-sharing technologies and strategies as well as assess the potential policy and technical implications for the Department of War

Translate complex information into clear, concise summaries for senior leaders. Draft presentations articulating the who, what, where, when, and why of the discussed technical concepts and proposed technical solutions to non-technical audiences

Assist the Exercise Planner with the development and execution of test plans to validate the performance of dynamic spectrum sharing systems, analyzing results to identify areas for improvement and documenting findings

Work with policy makers, program managers, and system architects to align RF engineering with strategic goals

Conduct spectrum analysis and modeling to assess occupancy, interference, and sharing opportunities, developing models to evaluate dynamic sharing algorithms

Required

7 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field

Deep understanding of RF propagation, modulation techniques, and spectrum allocation frameworks

Strong technical understanding of 5G operations and architecture

Knowledgeable of 3GPP standards related to 5G

Familiar with Title 10 USC 947, particularly the DoW's role in oversight and management of the Department's electromagnetic spectrum

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
