Responsibilities

Conducts portable emissions analysis testing for compliance and assists in scheduling and conducting trailer-tests as required. Required by state regulations
Conducts green-house-gas and leak-surveys using advanced detection and imaging equipment. Required by EPA regulations
Responsible for the operation of engine and compressor analysis equipment, vibration equipment, emission analysis equipment, and borescopes utilized in acquiring equipment data
Must possess and continue to develop skill of analyzing data and developing specific recommendations and corrective actions
Supports analysis and maintenance of plant systems including gas compression equipment, control systems, auxiliary support systems and ancillary equipment
Provides condition-based corrective action recommendations to resolve operational problems on gas compression equipment and works directly with location personnel to resolve ancillary plant equipment issues
Provides technical assistance in the operations and maintenance of plant equipment and provides training on equipment operations and maintenance policies and procedures
Assists in equipment failure analysis and in the development of standard practices and procedures
Supports the identification and prioritization of capital and O&M improvement projects

Required

Associates Degree
3 - 5 Years of experience
Thorough understanding of the mechanical operations of engine/compressor equipment and their auxiliary systems
Good analytical skills
Good computer skills
Good verbal skills
Good written skills
Ability to work cohesively with operations personnel in the resolution of technical problems
Previous work experience in utilizing specialized test equipment in providing corrective actions to address engine and compressor performance issues
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
Good computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage crews at multiple locations and multiple tasks on a daily basis
Solid communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to lead towards operational excellence
Strong customer focus in dealing with engineering, field operations, and other internal and external groups
Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work with a minimum of supervision
Must be comfortable working with remote supervision
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize and adhere to established work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
Ability to perform the required and expected duties with little or no direct supervision
Must be able to tolerate extreme conditions; will work outdoors in all seasons
Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces and climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist
Must be able to see, hear, walk and speak clearly
Must be able to work safely around operating equipment while wearing required PPE
Required to carry a company-provided cell phone, and be available to respond during working hours, and non-working hours as needed
Travel is required and anticipated at approximately 40-50% on average and will include out-of-town nights and occasionally weekend travel
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed
