Summer Internship - Food Technologist
Bell & Evans is committed to quality in the poultry industry, and they are seeking a Food Technologist Summer Intern. The intern will support the New Product Development team by conducting research, assisting in product documentation, and collaborating with various teams to enhance product innovation.

Responsibilities
Support new product development through sample preparation, sensory evaluations, and concept testing
Assist in documenting formulations, specifications, label reviews, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, Organic)
Conduct basic research on food trends, ingredients, and consumer insights to support innovation
Observe production trials and help collect data for process improvements and scale-up
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Quality, Sales, and Brand—while learning how products are commercialized
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills
Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with industry software is a plus
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene
Ability to work independently and contribute to a fast-paced development environment
Preferred
Understanding of HACCP, USDA, FDA, and SOP guidelines
