Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices
Reconcile inventory to the master Bill of Materials (BOM)
Manage inventory specifically for the manufacturing department, which builds one-of-a-kind devices
Understand and manage technical and machined parts used in the manufacturing process
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage
Verify quantities and descriptions of received items against purchase orders
Properly document and label all received materials and supplies
Add incoming packages into our inventory system during the receiving process
Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve any issues with shipments
Assist the procurement team in sourcing and ordering materials and supplies
Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management, supply chain, or related fields is a plus
2+ years experience in inventory control, receiving, and/or procurement, preferably in a hardware-centric tech or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of quality inspection processes and concepts
Understanding of technical and machined parts is important
Ability to lift and move heavy items as required
Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified
Valid driver's license
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

Quality inspection experience
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
