Copilot & Viva AI Engineer (End User Services)

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors, make up the Federal Reserve System. They are seeking a Copilot & Viva AI Engineer to develop IT engineering designs, analyze business requirements, and lead complex projects related to Microsoft 365 services and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs, that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects
Complete analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements
Assess testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans
Performs resolution of complex hardware, environmental software operating systems and subsystems
Oversees problem avoidance actions
Analyzes and revises existing system logic and documentation as necessary
May authorize risk level changes and recommend solutions to minimize and/or prevent system interruption
Evaluates, recommends and selects new software/hardware. Performs change and problem management using standard tools
Ensures conformance and compliance with existing system standards
Measures performance to ensure proper operation
Leads highly technical/complex projects utilizing FRIT/System staff and resources. Follows and ensures adherence to technical standards for programming and design techniques
Trains System technical staff on use of software/hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures
Monitors compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines
Assist in the deployment of Microsoft Copilot and rollout of Viva (Connections, Engage, Glint) across the organization
Design and implement Viva Connections dashboards with audience-targeted content and resources
Foster community engagement and knowledge sharing through Viva Engage by enhancing productivity and help with adoption ramp up
Consult on Copilot-related AI initiatives (e.g., Security Copilot) and support adoption ramp-up
Build, deploy, and manage custom AI agents across the organization using Copilot Studio and integrate with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform leveraging low-code/no-code development
Provide strategic planning, technical execution, user training, and communication to ensure successful deployment
Support administration, maintenance, monitoring, and backup of messaging and collaboration technologies
Investigate and implement new Office 365 capabilities to enhance collaboration services
Interface with stakeholders across the organization and third-party vendors for problem and change management
Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety practices, and high-quality customer service
Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend support as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience
Microsoft 365 services: Copilot Chat along with experience with Copilot Studio (which will be important to our automation activities currently and in the future)
Copilot integration, governance, and best practices
Exchange Online and Exchange 2016 administration
Office 365 Groups, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive
Tenant administration and hybrid Exchange environments
Viva Suite Components (which will grow over the coming years)
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and strong understanding of AI agent design, topic creation, and knowledge base management to ensure responsibility and effective deployment of AI solutions organization-wide
Proficiency in Power Platform (PowerApps, Flow) and low-code/no-code development
SPFx (SharePoint Framework)
Entra ID access management in relation to group management (i.e. SharePoint user management)
Viva Connections implementation
Viva Engage strategy and administration
Viva Glint deployment and analysis
Organizational rollout of the Viva suite across the entire organization
Microsoft Defender, ADFS, AD Connect
Office/Outlook add-ins (.NET/COM, Modern Add-ins)
Networking, authentication protocols (Kerberos, NTLM, Basic)
Messaging and collaboration tools in large enterprise environments
General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and System operations, policies, procedures and technologies
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience
You are responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision-making and contributing to your function's risk management
You will work under the direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite goals
Make decisions within established or widely accepted standards
Achieve assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience
