Responsibilities

Support the New Product Development process with the development of battery systems following Klein Tools process
Setup and conduct tests of battery cells and battery packs per test plan and work instructions with little assistance
Accurately record test results of numerical and observed data and document with ability to detect data anomalies
Evaluate test results, create test reports, and make recommendations for improvement
Prioritize work to align with the goals of various project development teams with minimal guidance from management
Technical interface to Klein Tools suppliers for battery related issues. Visit suppliers as needed to support New Product Development
Collaborate cross-functionally with project team leaders
Properly store, handle, and prepare battery cells and battery packs for testing
Keep inventory of battery cells and battery packs
Participate in the development of new battery test fixtures, test methods, and continuous improvement projects as assigned with little supervision
Detect and report equipment concerns and support maintenance. Support equipment calibration activities
Demonstrated experience in quality of work in soldering/rework of complex PCBAs
Utilization of complex electronic test and measurement equipment with minimal supervision
Perform other duties as requested

Required

Minimum of High School or GED equivalent degree, or minimum 5 years work experience testing batteries or electronic products
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as attention to detail and organization
Ability to adapt and function in an environment of changing priorities often under tight time constraints
Up to 10% travel internationally

Preferred

Associates or Technical School degree in electronics preferred
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
