Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns
Monitor and control access points to the location, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel as needed
Remain alert and observant while on patrol, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, in accordance with established protocols
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and incidents, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and site representatives
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including radios and any provided firearms, in compliance with company policies and local regulations
Participate in ongoing training and drills to remain prepared for a variety of security-related situations specific to utility locations
Qualification
Required
Possess an armed guard card or license
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
