Director of Retail Operations
South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind is seeking a Director of Retail Operations to develop and maintain new business opportunities while managing operations of Base Supply Centers and web operations. The role involves overseeing daily operations, promoting programs, generating budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Oversee all daily operations of the Retail Department to ensure compliance with goals, duties, policies and regulations
Search for new business opportunities within the federal government, make contact, present program and follow-up to secure new opportunities
Promote store and web site programs to all customers
Generate annual budgets and quarterly pricing for all store/service locations to maintain competitive alignment to competitors and maintain healthy margins
Develop marketing concepts to focus on 'Value-Added' proposition to meet customer demands
Ensure compliance with the AbilityOne employment requirements and 'Essentially the Same' programs
Any others duties as directed by VP of Retail Operations
Qualification
Required
Excellent public speaking, communication and negotiating skills
Highly proficient in retail operations and marketing
Understanding of government/military procurement, supply, logistics and the AbilityOne program
Understanding of inventory management, retail operations and store budgeting
Excellent customer service skills
At least 5 years retail management experience
Strong team leadership skills
Customer driven/focused
Current state driver's license and proof of insurability
