The role involves litigating and advising on complex labor and employment matters, including discrimination and wage-hour claims, while providing guidance to Florida employers on compliance and policy development.

Responsibilities
Litigate discrimination, retaliation, and wage-hour claims from intake to resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Advise employers on policies, compliance, and day-to-day HR issues
Develop employee handbooks, agreements, and workplace policies
Conduct trainings and internal workplace investigations
Manage deadlines, budgets, and case strategy with partners
Use practice-management and research platforms to drive efficiency
Collaborate with cross-office teams on multi-jurisdiction matters
Qualification
Required
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Active Florida bar license, in good standing
2+ years labor & employment experience
Working knowledge of Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and state laws
Proven litigation skills: research, drafting, discovery, and advocacy
Clear, concise communicator with strong client-service mindset
Tech-savvy with practice systems, portals, and legal databases
On-site presence in Sarasota; full-time, in-office role
